For my self promotional website I am going to achieve a demo site that is easy and simplistic to use for the viewer, which is also eye catching in a subtle way in order to create my site as a memorable one. I aim to keep the subheadings on my site to a minimum in order to keep the viewer intregued with my site.
As this is a self promoting website I am going to take into consideration the order of the photographs and how I show them, as I believe that the homepage is what captures the audience and draws them into the website more. From this I am going to think about including my strongest work as a part of the homepage in order to capture the audience’s attention. For this self promoting website I am going to leave extra room for future projects, to allow my progression within photography to carry on.

I am going to create text pieces to go along side my photographs in order for the viewer/ client to understand the work I do and the way I approach my photography and the sort of style of photography I have.

These first three websites are the websites in which I included as my initial research. I have included in the text underneath each website what i like and what I don't like in order for me to consider these areas to look more into and also to avoid when creating my own website.
Ed Thompson website http://www.edwardthompson.co.uk/
These first three websites are the websites in which I included as my initial research. I have included in the text underneath each website what i like and what I don't like in order for me to consider these areas to look more into and also to avoid when creating my own website.
Ed Thompson website http://www.edwardthompson.co.uk/
I find the layout of this website to be simplistic and easy to follow which is what I aim to create with my self- promoting website. I like how on the home page there are headings and then underneath sub headings that are always there. I also like how the viewer is not over powered with information; the whole look of the website is somewhat clean cut and follows a sense of consistency. The use of a differentiation in font sizes as well allows the viewer in order to read different areas of the website in different orders.
As we all know nothing can ever be perfect. For this website I believe it as a few faults which I find could be down to personal opinion. My first fault with this website is the fact that they have gone over the cut off line, so for the viewer to witness the images fully they have to scroll down the page to do this. Whilst viewing the images I find that the information to go along with the different projects should be kept on the page at all times in order for the viewer to reflect back on the text and to also flick from the text and images at the same time. This statement leads me onto the font size of the text accompanying the images. I find that it is too small and there are too many words on a line, for example, on the top line there are 14 words.
I find this website influential for my own work in the sense that it I believe this to be a very good example of an easy to use and simplistic website. This site has allowed me to take into consideration the different ways in which I can drop box, whether I want it to be permanently on the screen or whether I was it to come in and disappear. By finding faults with the website it has also allowed me to consider the font size of my own information and also keeping text next to images throughout each project.
Chris Giles website http://www.chrisgilesphotography.co.uk/ I found more faults than I did of likes with this website, which I find to be beneficial as it allows me to make sure that I don’t make these mistakes within my own site. My first area of fault for this website is that of the layout and how messy and disorganised it is. On the home page the photographer has included his information about his own work, but to a place in which the viewer cannot see it, underneath a row of advertisements. If I hadn’t have scrolled down on this page I wouldn’t have found out what was to be seen underneath the adverts. Included within this information are links that go onto sub links that can also be accessed from the links on the left hand side of the home page.
I personally believe that this website would look more professional by just neatening the home page up. This could easily be created by keeping all the links onto the left side of the page, putting the information at the bottom of the page at the side of the image included on the homepage and possibly changing the image on the homepage. I find that the photograph included on the homepage, although it looks quite comical and a true to life situation I don’t find it to be the most flattering of photographs as a first impression photograph.
As the photographer has stated in the hierarchy of links it shows that he is more wedding photography based, however there are other examples of works in which he does. Although photographs are very good in order to show what type of photography you produce, I find that a little bit of explanatory text would help improve and give the site a more of a professional atmosphere.
When viewing the photographs included on this site the image is positioned to the left of the page. In my personal opinion I believe it would look easier on the eye by positioning them more central. Another fault with the images is when viewing them some of the images are half cut off on the page whilst scrolling through them. The layout of the website also changes whilst viewing the photographs, which I find to be distracting.
From looking at this website is it clear to the viewer that he is wedding photography based, What I find to be off putting is the fact that he has too many images demonstrating the work in which he produces whilst at the weddings. I find that it would look a lot more professional to just pick a selection of his strongest pieces as I find that looking through all of the photographs can become a sort of repetitive game.
With the font on this website I do like the style of the title of it as it appears to be contemporary; however I find that the title is in too smaller font, it creates a large blank space on the homepage. The font of the links is too boring for my taste, and too simplistic. I also like the scroll icon used on this website for viewing the images as it’s simplistic and easy to find on the page.
This website has pointed out forward planning and considering how to keep my website simplistic and to not over power the pages with images. It has also shown that I need to take into consideration my first impression image in order to draw the audience in.
David Spero website http://www.davidspero.co.uk/
David Spero website http://www.davidspero.co.uk/
I would say that out of the three websites I have chosen I have more to take away from it positively than to reflect upon it in the sense of what not to include in my own website. The layout of this website I do find interesting in the sense that it never changes even from the splash page to entering the actual website. The only slight change that does occur throughout the layout is when displaying the photographs, and that change is simply by decreasing it from three boxes to two. The website however I believe lacks personality, it is too simplistic. Turning back on a good note, this website is very easy to use, in the sense that the headings are labelled correctly and there is no confusion with any extra links at the bottom that are also at the side which I like and would like to produce within my website.
When scrolling over one of the links the actual heading changes colour which I like. The reason I find this interesting is because the headings are more or less subheadings in a way, because they are listed underneath two headings; projects and information which do not change to orange when scrolling over them.
On the viewing pages of the different projects Spero has produced I like the scrolling system, in the sense of the simplicity and neatness of it. I also like how the viewer is told how many images are included in the set of photographs and what number they are currently up to. My only problem I find with the viewing area is that of the information. In my personal opinion I find that it would be better for the information to be next to the images instead of an added link as it allows the viewer to read and look at the images at the same time.
David Spero’s website is simplistic neat and easy to work yourself around. Although i find it too be too simplistic it shows professionalism and experience. From his website i can take into consideration how to approach simplicity, and to make my site easy to use for everyone viewing it. In contrast to Spero’s website i would like to add a subtle hint of my own personality within my website in order to keep the viewer looking more throughout my site.
The above flow chart is how I aim for my website to be designed. I find that if I section off the my website into five different areas of photography, this allows me room in order to adapt my website later on. I have also decided to section these five areas down more into projects and singular images as some of my photographs don't belong in a project as such.
Drawing 1
Above is a drawing of a homepage idea. My idea within this design is that the images included on this page will be three of my strongest pieces that stand alone well and tell a story. These photographs I would like to be sectioned off by the blocks I have included. Underneath the title and also above the contact information the lines I have created I would like to be on a gradient so that they both fade out towards the middle of my layout.
With the subheadings I would like a faint line on the left hand side of them to seperate them from the photos and to also keep the text left aligned to this line as I find this will look better than being alligned to the right.
I would like the colour scheme to be simplistic and easy on the eye in order to allow the viewer to look at the photographs instead of the surroundings of the image. The text I include on this is going to be san serif. This is because I find this text type a lot easier to read and to be neater. Simplistic and neat are two of the aims in which I wish to accomplish throughtout my website.
Drawing 3
Again I have also used the influence of David Spero's grid system however changed the grids around from the above drawing. I don't find this layout to work as successfully as the drawing before in the sense that the title almost becomes part of the subheadings which isn't what I wish to acheive. With this layout as well the box at the bottom looks very empty as all that is included in the box is two lines of contact information. This is a waste of space, which could be utilised better. In this layout however I do like how the photograph uses most of the space. With this I am going to create a slideshow of the strongest images from each project to be included onto the homepage in order for the viewer to get a small understanding of the type of photography I produce.
Drawing 4
With this layout design I have also used the influence of David Spero's sectioned format. From the previous drawing I have altered the three boxes round to utilise the space more. I believe this is stronger than the previous layout as the title and contact information are included at the top of the page using the same box. My only downfall with this layout is that I don't believe I needed to include a brief about me on my homepage as I have created a subheading for that. Maybe if I took this away and used that whole space for the slideshow of images, this may be more effective and more self promotional than this.
I would like to use a san serif font to keep the text neat and easy to read for the viewers with a simplistic colour scheme that also sits with the images well.

Darren Heaths website http://www.darrenheath.com/
The first thing that stands out on the page is the image and the quote used by Ansel Adams. With the mixture of this quote and the slideshow of images used, the viewer is seen to realise that the quote fits well with the images he has produced. The use of photos with his subheadings I find to be interesting as he demonstrates his passion and interest within photography greatly. This website evidentally provides the viewer with the intension of it being a photography website.
When viewing the photographs the images go under the cut off line which I find to be annoying as to view the picture as a whole the viewer has to scroll down. It would have been better to work in with the cut off line. When creating my website this is something which I need to bare in mind.
The title used on this website I find to be affective in the sense he has put his his name in bold and reduced the opacity of the photographer. The only problem which I do have with the title is the fact he has used lowercase all the way through.
The colour scheme works well with the photographs, the off grey gives quite a soft touch in the sense that they website isn't too overwhelming, easy on the eye. When creating my own website I aim to use a background which is subtle and not too overwhelming, but will also sit well with the photographs in which I show.
Kellianne's website http://www.kelliannephotographer.co.uk/
I have included this website as part of my research due to the fact that I find the layout she has used interesting the way in which all the photographical information is situated within one box and the subheadings and title sit on the background colour. I find this to work well as it is simplistic and subtle. On the homepage of this website the way in which she has presented the work is something which I aim to produce in my self promotional website, by providing the viewer with initial images from different projects.
Within her design she has created a highlighted box when going onto a subheading. I like this idea as the viewer is aware of which subheading they are going into. This would be better however if the heading would remain highlighted whilst the viewer is in that area so they don't lose track of where they are.
My main problem with this site is the fact that they have worked over the cut off line. I find it to be quite annoying and off - putting when viewing a photography website that you have to scroll down to find information or look at images. When going into the different galleries as well, the photographs have been uploaded to the same page, so the viewer could be scrolling down for quite some time to find the photograph they want. It would be more beneficial if Kellianne had used a grid system, for example a 4 x 4 grid of thumbnails and then used page numbers for the other images. This would look more proffessional in my opinion and neater.
Idea 1
Above is my first attempt on illustrator for the layout of my website. My aim within this shot was to get the boxes and text set up to a layout which I would like to work with and adapt further. I find that this first attempt shows in detail the places which I would like things to be placed and is also simplistic and easy to use for the veiwer which is what I am aiming to achieve with my end result.
The colours used on this layout have been taken from the idea of Edward Thompsons website as I find that these colours are very easy on the eye and outline key areas such as the title first then the rest of the website. The layout I have looked upon that of David Speros website in the sense the website is sectioned off into three, my sections being the title and contact information, the projects and then the imagery and explanatory text.

Paul Dickinson's website http://www.pauldickinsonphotography.co.uk/default.cfm
Paul Dickinson's website has been included as a reference point mainly due to the fact that he has worked to the cut off point, which is what I am going to do in my website. I find that this looks a lot neater and more professional than the viewer having to scroll down to find information.
The colour scheme selected is subtle and easy on the eye. These colours work especially with the opening image. With this image however I find it isn't used to its full potential in the sense that I believe it would be better on a larger scale, and reducing the text down to 8 words per line rather than 12 per line. This would also then keep the text finishing off at the end of the image, which I find would look more appealing to the viewer.
His logo is interesing in the way it is styled due to his name being bolder than the 'photography' underneath his name. The only problem I have with the logo is the spacing used in the word 'photography'. The spacing between each letter is too large and is quite distracting.
The downfall with this website is the way in which the work is presented. To view the work, the audience has to go into the subheading 'shop'. As a viewer of this website I would prefer to have a gallery of all the images shown to their full potential and a description about them, rather than in a subheading under shop where you have the option to buy or just view them. On this when viewing the images in a larger format, they aren't much bigger than that of the one on the screen which is quite unfortunate.
Colin Prior's website http://www.colinprior.co.uk/home/
The main attraction for myself as a viewer to this website is the neat layout and the way in which it benefits the photographical work well. This layout looks professional and sophisticated. The subheadings are set up in a way that stands out to the audience, which are also accessible. With the subheadings being this size I would expect the title to be a slightly larger than it is, as the subheadings seem to take more stance than the logo does itself.
When viewing the portfolio, I find it interesting how Colin has used a grid format with one photo to represent each project with the title as well. When selecting a project and going into them, the others are listed down the left hand side. This is something which I would like to take into consideration when producing my own website. In all of these project layouts he uses the same grid system, a 4x3 layout which I like as it adds consistency and neatness.
In order to view these photographs larger it opens them up onto a screen with a different layout, a layout which allows the images to cover most of the screen in its correct dimensions.
Charlie Waite's website http://www.charliewaite.com/index
Charlie Waite's website has been included as a reference point due to the simplicity of the layout and how the colour scheme works well with type of photography he has included on his site. I find the speed of the slideshow a good tool as it allows the viewer to to take quite a detailed look as a first glance. I like how the viewer also gets a slight description underneath these preview images on the homepage of where the photographs were taken. This is something which I am going to bear in mind whilst producing my own website.
When viewing the gallery he has worked to the cut off line, and then used extra pages. This is an area which I like as it adds professionalism and makes the site look neater. With the subheadings in the gallery I find them to be slightly off putting, especially with the 'New Images'. There is no need for this if they were to be just selected as different project or areas. When viewing the photographs larger, I find that this doesn't utilise the space as much as it could do and also believe that it doesn't show the images off to their full potential. When creating my own website I need to bear in mind from this the size in which I would like the viewer to see my photographs and also whether I am showing the photographs off to their full potential.
On the layout, the line underneath the subheadings I like due to it sections the text off from the photographs. This is something which I can try with my own work in order to see how effective this might look with my own images. I also like how the line is on a gradient by fading on both sides.

Adam Burtons website http://www.adamburtonphotography.com/
Adam Burton has used both serif and san serif font on his website. This works well as he is mixing both the old and the new together. The use of large opening photographs are a good factor to this website as they draw the viewer into the images instantly before and text is visable. This is something which i need to take into condsideration throughout my own homepage. The disadvantage to this homepage is the fact that Adam has gone well beyond the cut off line. I personally believe that the website would look more professional and definately more photography based if it was to be like the screen shot above. This would then make it look simplistic, easy to use and easy of the eye of the viewer.
From this website I am going to look at aspects such as the layout, text and colour schemes when creating my own website. From the screenshot it shows that I am able to place a large scale image on the website homepage in order to draw the viewers in without it being too overpowering.
Joe Cornish's website http://www.joecornishgallery.co.uk/
This website has simply been included in my research as I like how the image is taking up more room on the hompage than that of the text. This is something which I aim to acheive throughout the project pages of my website, in the sense of having a large image but also keeping text at the side of all the images throughout each of the projects.
All of the website designs I am going to create are going to be under the influence of Paul Dickinson's website due to the fact that he has worked within the limits of the cut off line.
Idea 2
From the first idea I have kept the information all in the same place however I have taken away the thumbnails at the bottom as I found that they took up too much space; space which could be used to promote the individual photograph more. I have kept the layout simple and clean in order to draw the audience in more.
As this is my second attempt at the website layout I have been playing with the tools available and one of those being placing a shadow around boxes in order to create a sort of 3D effect. I find this technique to be interesting in the sense that it creates a break down of the website into sections on a subtle side, whereas on the first idea I had individual sections that stood out on my layout.
On this idea I have kept the contact information in the top corner. On all of the pages I would like this to stay there in order to keep a consistency, but to also remind the viewer of my name and email address.
In this design I have found faults the first being the the size of the images on the layout. I find these to be too small. I find that this could be resolved by possibly decreasing the size of the explanatory box next to the photographs of possibly putting the text underneath the images. As I would like this text to stay on the page all the time whilst looking throughout the whole project I think I need to find somewhere suitable that would look clean and also doesn't distract the viewer from the main focal point, that being the photographs of the projects.
The line included on this page underneath the title of the website I would like to fade as I find this would look better than the solid line I have included on this page. I am going to try this out on my next layout design. I also think that the subheadings on the left side need to be in a smaller font size and also some of them need shortening, for example the 'Everybody has a Cindy Sherman moment'. This is something which I can start to consider throughout the course of this module.
For this design I have used the influence of Joe Cornish's website in the sense of having the photograph larger than the text included. The overall layout has been taken by inspiration of that of David Spero due to using blocks for sections such as the subheadings being in one box and the photographs and explanatory text in another. Although the line I have included in this design is not working to a gradient I have used this aspect from that of Charlie Waite's line in order to section the title and contact information from the rest of the layout.
Idea 3
In this layout I have included a second line at the bottom of the page and thinned out the lines to see what effect this has on the whole layout. I like the effect this has created as it has sectioned the top and bottom off, however in the top and bottom boxes I need to include more as they look too empty. The lines are too thin and may work slightly better if they were thicker.
The font and size of this layout are beneficial due to the fact that it is easy to read and simplistic. With the subheadings it would look more professional if they were left aligned.
The off white colour boxes are too light, almost to the sense that it isn't valid to be included in the website layout, as they aren't visible enough to have a large impact. With this I also find that the explanatory text box is too large. The size of this is too large for my purpose of the website; that being my photographs to be the focal point rather than the text then the images. By the text box being this large as well it doesn't show the full potential of my photographs. This is something which I can take into consideration when producing my explanatory text for my projects.
David Spero has been an influence in the layout of this design due to using three boxes on my design and sectioning areas off. I have used one for contact information, one for subheadings and one for the photograph and explanatory text. Colin Prior has been effective in this design due to the subheadings being on the left hand side of the design. In my layout I wish for these subheadings to remain there all the time on each page, where as on his website they are visible when viewing the projects.
Idea 4
I find this website design to be clean, effective and simplistic. It looks inviting and more professional than that of the idea before. From the layout before I have learnt to utilise the space more by decreasing the size of the project titles and also the explanatory text box that goes alongside with the photographs. By keeping the layout clean and neat the title stands out more than the one previously. For the title I have used a dark grey rather than a black in order to keep in with the colours of the page. I find the overall look of this one more inviting.
As I have not yet tried the line with a gradient in it I also find this one more inviting than the line in the previous page layout as the colour blends in with the other colours included in it.
Along with these plus points I have also found my downfalls which I am able to reflect back upon when producing my next developmental layout. The first being the fact that I have not aligned the subheadings the left of the page. This is something that I am definately going to consider in my next design. I also think that the contact information on the top right is too small compared to that of the title page. I also need to start considering proper titles for my projects in order to bring more professionalism to the website.
Joe Cornish has also been used as an influence for this design for the size of the image compared to the area allowed for text. I find that this makes the page look neater and allows the image to be seen with higher potential as a first glance. Charlie Waite also has been used in order for a slow slideshow speed. Although this cannot be seen on the screenshot this is what i aim to achieve throughout the website design. David Spero's layout has influenced this design in the sense of the sectioning off of information. Although David used three main boxes and I have only used two I find that this works as an overall layout. Colin Priors choice of placing subheadings on the left has been useful to my work as I have used this for my design. On my design though these subheadings will remain on the left hand side all the time on each page rather than just on the galleries.
This is the same design as the one above however I have taken the off white boxes out and also added the gradient on the line underneath the title. I find that this adds to the website in the sense that it looks neat, simplistic and more professional. This is also increased by aligning the subheadings to the left of the page. With these subheadings I still need to come up with correct titles for some of them.
For this homepage design Charlie Waite's website has been an influence due to the slow shutter speed and also the size of the images in a way. I find that the size I have used in my own layout is similar to that of Charlie's, however have been positioned differently. Waite's website has also been an inspiration due to the line he has used and the gradient he has included within this. In my design I have kept the gradient fading out the the right as I believe this works better with the work and layout I have produced. The way in which Colin Prior has chosen to place his subheadings on the left of his layout when viewing the images is something which I aim to keep throughout the whole of my design. This is to keep a consistency within my design.
Idea 6
I have developed my previous design by adding gradient lines underneath the subheading and also the title on the explanatory text. I believe that this will help the viewers as they are aware of which project they are on when looking at the images. I aim for this to stay underlined until they click onto a different project. This also gives more of a consistency throughout the website and a reasoning for the line to be included on the layout. Throughout my development of my website I need to consider the order of my projects due to relevance in order to promote my work to the best of its ability.
Joe Cornish has been used as a reference point for this design due to keeping the image larger than the text box that will be used in order for the explanatory to go along with the images in each project. From Charlie Waite's website I have used yet again the gradient line, however on my design I have kept it to fade out on just the right side of it.
Idea 7
From the previous idea I have added scroll buttons in as a navigation system which I haven't thought about including before. These arrows aren't the finished design, they are just simply a way of showing where I would place them on each page. I would like these to stay in the same position on each project page to keep a sort of consistency throughout my layout.Idea 8
In this idea I have included a second navigation system underneath the images, which I find the be simplistic yet effective. As the idea before the scroll buttons aren't the desired buttons I wish to include on my website they are there in order to give an idea of where I would like my final scroll buttons to be placed. I have changed the colour of the gradient line to see what the website would look like with a slight hint of colour on the pages. In my personal opinion I have mixed views on this as I do like it due to the break up of the areas of the website, however the colour is too vibrant and don't find it sits well with the photographs I aim to show.
The four shows of my layout are the same as the above however they represent different pages to my web in order to demonstrate how my other photographs would fit in with this web page layout.
Font
From the feedback given to myself there were two extra designs I could next try which are the ones below.
I had a very good principle throughout my work however areas were just set out wrong or taking up space that they didnt need that could be used in order to make the photographs bigger for example.
Drawing 1
Drawing 2

Idea 1 - from drawing 1
From the feedback given to my and the drawings above I find this design to be more professional and self promotional for my work. I find the colours I have used to work well with the photographs more, especially this project. By having the subheadings underneath the title has enabled me to use more of the space for my photographs. With the Title and the contact information I need to bring them in more to the page up more as they are aligned to the side of the page too much.
Idea 2 - from drawing 2
Although this hasn't uploaded correctly it is shows the design clearly in the sense of the layout and placing of everything (on the wide side). I find don't see this design to be as strong as the first idea in the sense that the next photograph is on the same page, which is taking up space which I could use in order to show the viewing photo more. From the initial drawing of this design I have taken the thumbnails off as these took too much space up where the main photograph could be using.
This shot is the first idea however it has been developed slightly, in the sense that the scroll buttons have been moved in more, and also the contact information has been moved in more. By doing these two slight alterations I find add a large effect to the design. The subheadings have also been spaced out more evenly to give a sense consistency. From the first idea I have also changed the colour of the top block that includes the title and the contact information. From the feedback I am happier with these two designs than the designs I have designed, however I do believe there are some slight elements that still need to be improved upon.
For this design I have taken influence from Colin Prior's website in the sense of the subheadings being included in one box. This has allowed more room for the main focus, that being the images. The size of images Adam Burton has included on this homepage has inspired me throughout this design. On the homepage for this design I wish for the same layout at the top with the title and subheadings, and underneath the photographs to take up remaining room.
Idea 1
This design I find is a good development from the previous two and an area in which I can adapt further due to the sense of text and layout. For the subheadings I have chosen to use both upper and lowercase letters as I find that these work and look better than that of capitals on this layout. I like how the layout uses the background colour of the website within it as this colour doesn't then look random and misplaced.
The photographs included on this homepage I wish for there to be a slow speed slideshow with five images, one image from each project. I want a slow slideshow in order for the viewer to have quite a detailed view of each image.
The design of Kellianne's website has used the influence of this layout due to overall layout before the cut off line. In her website she goes beyond the cut off line, however in mine I have kept to including my information above it. The way in which she also uses the background as a part of her layout is what I have used in this design. The size of the image on this design has been influenced by that of Adam Burton's in the way in the size he has used on his homepage. From this I have adapted it in order to fill the layout from underneath the subheadings. Colin Priors site is a influence for this due to the way in which he has displayed the subheadings. Not only this but also the size of the text used on the subheadings.
Idea 2
The photograph has been used in order to create the basic layout of my website in the sense that the space is utilised to it's full potential. I find this to be beneficial in the sense that the viewer is faced with the photographs straight away. On this homepage I wish for the images to change on a slow speed slideshow of an image from each project.
From the previous development I find this to be a lot better in the sense that I have utilised the space more in the aspect of this website looking more photographical than just a website that is both images and text. On my project pages I aim for the text to go over the images and have the photographs full screen in the background. I would also like this text to have a text box around with it having a reduced opacity in order for the viewer to see the photograph behind the text.
Colin Prior has been an influence due to the subheadings and the layout of them, however in my layout I have reduced the opacity of the box in order to see the photograph underneath it. The size of the text has also been an influence within my design from his website in order to aid these subheadings to stand out. Darren Heath's website has also been an influence in the sense of the photograph on the homepage being used to fill the whole layout at the top. Within my layout I have altered this by allowing the whole image to be the layout, which I find benefits the photographs as it shows that the website is photographic based immediately.
I have chosen to choose the first idea as my final design as I believe that this will work better with the way in which I would like my website to function. From my original proposal I have had to alter the fact of keeping the information on the project pages whilst viewing the images due to spatial difficulties. From this I am going to overcome it by inserting a subheading at the bottom of the page where people can scroll over and the information pops up over the photograph, with a box around it that has had the opacity reduced so the viewer is still able to see the photograph underneath the information slightly.
Below are examples of my website pages. These demonstrate what will be included on each page on various projects. With the information pages I would like to include this on every page within each project so that the viewer is able to click onto the information at their leisure. This is something that I wish to pursue on a later date.
